Successfulness must be continued. Maybe that’s the reason why Nokia launch this new product. The presence of N96 of course is expected can repeat the successfulness which have been reached before by N95. As its predecessor, Nokia nicknames N96 as multimedia computer.

The architects in Nokia make N96 with slimmer body. The design is the combination between N95 and N81. It has double slider form, what provides media control button and keypad.

The body is covered by glossy black skin. Not seen slider rail in keypad side, as the predecessor. N95 keypad button which made from rubber is replaced with button that will glow when pressed.

N96 is still using TFT screen which has same size with N95. The 2,8 inches screen contains 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

As for the data storage media increases twofold becomes 16 GB. The capacities reserved to accommodates video data and high quality music with various formats.

It can present MPEG-4 format video, Windows Media Video, and Flash Video. As for music file, this phone supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, or Windows Media Audio format.

With 16 GB memory, this phone can save until 40 hours video content. If it not enough, save capacities can added for more 8 GB with MicroSD HC MU-43 expansion card made in Nokia. Its total storage can be added to 24 GB, what makes it as one of big capacities phone.

With the support from broadband wireless connection, either WLAN or also 3G HSDPA, N96 can download on-line content speedily. Data transfer also can be done easily through provided Micro USB 2.0 cable.

For limited market, this phone is also supplied with integrated DVB-H receiver peripheral, so it can receive digital TV broadcast.

Meanwhile, its music feature strengthened by integrated 3D stereo speake, and it also provides 3,5 mm headphone line-out. All entertainment application can be accessed easily through Nokia Video Center, starts from made in Sony Pictures movie trailer download, comedy content, video clip in YouTube, until world news from Reuters press agency.

This phone also has 5 megapixel digital cameras with lens Carl Zeiss optical, equipped with by flash lamp and video lamp. This camera can record a movie with DVD quality, with30 frame per second speed.

T0his smartphone armed with global positioning system (GPS) device and local map application. The combination between camera with its GPS enabling N96 user to upload the geotag (addition geographical data) photos at its photo result, complete with the location information to share towards its Internet community.
