Nokia N82 Review: Great Camera Phone

Nokia N82
To answering the challenge of competitors which launch 5 MP camera phone, Nokia launch its best camera phone, N82. We believe that this phone is direct competitor of Sony Ericsson K850i. It has same form (candybar), same camera resolution (5 MP).

N82 is not a Nokia first phone which carrying 5 MP camera, before there are N95. But N95 was not majored as a product which focusing in camera phone class, but multimedia. And even photo quality of N95 can be said very good, do not mean N82 camera facility similar to N95. There are some changes done by Nokia to increase the quality of camera in N82.

N82 has candybar design with futuristic touch. Aluminum material choice in front and plastic at back strengthens this thing. If it look in a flash, N82 body has shapes which similar to N77. I surprise enough with this phone weight, even its body big but light on-hand.

From design side, N82 is focus at its camera facility. You can see it from its buttons like navigation, softkeys and alphanumeric, all made to supports the comfort when using camera. While for phone and messaging activity, N82 is not so great.

N82 provides various features to enjoy. From entertainment feature, like camera, game, FM radio, music and video player to serious feature, like messaging, WiFi, HSDPA, GPS and office document viewer, all in once in this phone.

About GPS feature, Nokia has plant two navigation technologies at the same time in N82 that is bases on satellite GPS and A-GPS with bases on satellite navigation system and operator service.

N82 also has TV out facility, motion sensor (applicable for some menus only), USB micro slot and 3,5 mm jack audio. For operating system N82 carries Symbian 9.2, S60 v3.1. All N82 feature performance will be supported by ARM11 332 MHz processor with ROM 256 MB and RAM 128 MB memory. For the storage is provided internal memory 90 MB and MicroSD card slot.

Like I have mentioned above, about the design, N82 is more suitable when applied in camera mode. At landscape position the button location is so easy to reach by hand. Including it navigation and softkeys button.

At test, I do not make manual setting, all in automatic setting, including the arrangement of white balance and ISO. The result is so great, picture is come up beautifully. Generally, the photo result is similar with photo result of N95. The presence of Xenon flash lamp is increases the photo quality in low light condition. This flash lamp is not focused in one points, but spreading. In the result, overall detail of photo color is seen proportional.
Presence of N82 is not merely as candybar version of N95. Nokia serious to placing N82 as real camera phone by doing some developments which proven can boost this camera phone ability.

N82 greatness is limited in camera only. With technology like HSDPA, WiFi and GPS, N82 is most complete camera phone in its class.

Sony Ericsson Z320i Review: Nice Clamshell, Good Price

Sony Ericsson Z320i
Clamshell phones Z series from Sony Ericsson known has beautiful design. Happily, Sony Ericsson is not only destines this class just for luxurious phone. Cheap phone also can be made by this style and class. And this is proven from Sony Ericsson Z320i which successfully rolling with luxurious phone appearance.

This Sony Ericsson clamshell phone had simple design which but still eye-catching. Different from years before, Sony Ericsson didn't play again with circle antenna in its clamshell phone.

What are become sells value from this phone display side is the existence of black list in the middle of body which is functioning as place of four indicator icons which will blaze if there are a message, phone call, missed call and activates of silent mode.

Moreover, there is also available a GPRS, so for internet browsing and download can be done. True tone or wallpaper can be search easily to enhance this phone contents. This phone screen specification itself only CSTN 65.000 colors.

With the existence of Java MIDP, we can also downloading game or Java application. But don’t forget about limited memory capacity. Transfer your photo to PC. So that your phone still has enough memory.

For clamshell phone in cheap class, this Sony Ericsson Z320i can be the good choice. Its simple design but nice perhaps more exceeded as sell value compared to its standard feature. Usage of indicator icon as gimmick and at the same time as cosmetic also more and more strengthens this phone sell value. Cheap price, good looking and famous brand become good point to attract the “practical user” which only uses a phone to make a call and SMS only.

Palm Treo 500v Review: Dynamic Design

Palm Treo 500v
Palm is still exists. Palm still trying to hold on in phone business. But, likely Palm feels if their operating system is less compatibly to common market. Hence, Palm phone product release recently uses Windows operating system. So also with Palm Treo 500v. Palm launches this phone with the newest operating system, Windows Mobile 6.0. Moreover, its interface system is also unique, unlike with other Windows bases on smartphone.

Phone Palm Treo 500v has not far different design from Palm Treo 750v version. Its button arrangement is almost look like and this phone also has dynamic circle sides. The difference is only at the dimension form. Palm Treo 500v has slimmer shape and has lighter weight from Palm Treo 750v. This thing makes this phone thus easier when grasped.

Palm Treo 500v also has fineness at its QWERTY buttons softness. Keyboard in this phone must have good quality, because there is no touch screen facility in this phone. The button is comfortably, not undersize and not too big. Available shortcut in the front of phone is also comfort to use. It’s wide, thus easy to press on.

This light Phone Palm (the weight is 120 grams) has two alternative of color, Glacier White and Charcoal Grey. But its color set is simple and giving enough elegant impression. Hardly suitable for whom is looking a simple design phone.

Interesting menu coming up in this phone doesn't bother phone performance as a whole. With menu like that, Palm Treo 500v still runs great. Its menu is also easier the usage. But, maybe it’s not well-matched for user which has been familiar to Windows classic menu. With menu like this it is possible that available function become less detail.

Palm Treo 500v uses 32bit Intel XScale PXA270 and 315 MHz processor. Strong enough for a phone which doesn’t has so many features. For your info, this phone only provides 2 MP resolutions. The photo result is surely not so special.

Palm Treo 500v of course none a class one phone. The technology is felt sophisticated if this phone launched last year. Even its UMTS technology is great enough. The menu is also easy to use. Everyone can use this phone easily.

Helio Mysto Review: Slick Slider Doesn’t Do Photos or Video Well

A follow-up to Helio's excellent Drift handset, this svelte cell retains its predecessor's capable built-in CPS radio, robust software bundle, and slim profile. Just don’t expect much from this phones camera or its video playback abilities.

Weighing just 3.3 ounces, the Mysto is light and compact. Sliding the screen upward reveals a well-spaced, comfortable numeric keypad. Like all Helio phones, the Mysto works over Sprint's voice network. Call quality was fine, but I ran into some audio dropouts in testing. The handset supports fast 3G networks, which is a big help when you are surfing or streaming video

Unfortunately, video looks awful. Even though I could watch an MPEG-4 version of Casino Royale in its native 320-by-240 resolution, it played at an unacceptable 2 frames per second.

The music player fared much better. It handled MP3 and unprotected AAC tracks at a wide variety of bit rates, although it couldn’t recognize some WMA files I tried. Using the included wired stereo earbuds-and-mic combo, I heard surprisingly detailed sound. Sadly, the 2-megapixel camera took blurry, washed-out, unusable photos.

It's a good choice for Helio fans who want a good-looking phone that doubles as an MP3 player, but the Mysto isn't enough to bring me over from another carrier.

Sony Ericsson Z555i Review: Stylish Clamshell

Sony Ericsson Z555i
Candybar phone of course has many fans, but Sony Ericsson has never forgotten clamshell phone line. Z555i is presented by Sony Ericsson to complement the line of fold phone product and sweet design product.

A statement of style, it is the slogan carried by Z555i. The design is unique with diamond pattern. Not merely expressing its user style, but also to draw the attention. This triband phone comes up in two color choices: Diamond Black and Dusted Rose.

But Z555i it’s not simply styles, inside it is be full of innovative feature, Gesture Control. Through this feature you can inactive the ring tone or "snooze" alarm function only by wave the hand above this 95x49x16mm gadget. I think it’s would easier compared to Shake Control at W580i.

Moreover, Dynamic Theme which will change the appearance according to season! Color and design from phone theme, system menu, and Home screen can change automatically every year changes. This is not impossible thing because it connected with Z555i calendar feature.

Z555i applies 2 screens. Inside, Sony Ericsson installs 1,9 inch TFT screen, 176x220 pixel. In the outside it use monochrome (128x36 pixel) screen which will hidden when phone isn’t in an active condition.

Other Z555i feature is standard. Besides 1,3MP camera, this 95 grams gadget also supports EDGE, FM radio and music file player feature. Its internal memory which only 12MB can be said too minimum even Sony Ericsson is offer expansion slot for Memory Stick Micro memory card type. Yes, these not yet 3G phones of course makes the style lover as main target.

Samsung Watch Phone
If DoCoMo launch and calls their watch phone technology as wristphone, hence Samsung also give different name to its product that is Watch Phone.

Watch Phone applies GSM 800 MHz and 1800 MHz network. Moreover, Samsung also fully equipped it with GPRS and Bluetooth data network package.

This telephone has weights 80 grams and dimension 37,8 x 64 x 17,7 mm, supports WAP 1,2, Bluetooth and speakerphone technology.

With the resolution size 96 x 64 pixels, this made in Samsung phone Samsung mentioned as the smallest GPRS watch phone in the world. Do not want to left behind with Korea, China also launch their watch phone product through China Electronics Corporation. This time China equipped the phone display, which called F88, just like a standard phone, which is keypad, color screen, and camera. Unhappily, this watch phone only bases on CDMA 1x network.

F88 has dimension 38,3 x 76,7 x 17 mm. China adds voice record ability in the product, although only for four minutes. While to apply it as a phone, it’s required a cable which girded like ring in user finger. To receive a phone call, the ring must be drawn near to ear. Comes up with 256 STN color screen and having removable camera which able to be turned around 180°, maybe this made in Chine watch phone can be said better from the Samsung product.

Its WAP ability, 120 minutes talk time and 100 hours stand-by time, closed this product weakness which only had CDMA network. Other company like Motorola and Siemens actually has demonstrated their watch phone, but unhappily hasn’t launch to the market.

Samsung SGH-F200 Review: Swivel Music Phone

Samsung SGH-F200
The combination between music players and phone is an ordinary thing. In fact, addition feature like this is considered to be a feature which most enthused and easy to applied. But what would happen if music player portion is more dominant compared to phone? The answer is on Samsung SGH-F200.

SGH-F200 is the newest member from Samsung F music series. If seen from the number, this is the most economical solution compared to its brother: F300 and F500. Music player ability of course becomes the main appeal. But whose expects if its design which draw the attention.

F200 is also recognized as swivel phone. Concept like this has been carried by Sony Ericsson S700. But the miracle of F200 is not only centered at its swivel axis. Its camouflage as portable music player successfully closes over its phone impression. All because the detail designs, small size and its supporting display.

The main point, F200 is a candybar phone. But because it axis, we also can call it as swivel phone. Its size is the smallest one if compared to the other phones. Especially in stand by condition (swivel is closed).

In closed swivel condition, we can get a number of navigators for music. In it front side there is D-Pad at the same time functioning as multimedia button. We can access music file, play and full controls it with this button.

In it side part, we can find two function keys that across each other. Each will function like softkey button at phone, as supporting facilities to opening music menu and browsing file. But this button only functioned when phone in standby and music on condition.

As a phone with slide form, hence it screen can be made to fulfills the face area. But because this phone longitudinal section is small, hence it screen is made small. Its diagonal size is 1.46 inches and has 128 x 220 pixel resolution.

F200 interface is also unique. It can be felt when we can only access music from main menu button (open swivel), but you must close the swivel to enjoy it.

Samsung SGH-F200 is phone which camouflage to become a music player. Surely, music feature becomes the main feature.

If it compared to Samsung MP3 player which available in the market, F200 form is much supported. Alike instead! And so with its ability to play a number of music formats.

Music function domination becomes the F200 main menu. It’s acceptable if we call it a phone in camouflage. On the contrary with the addition of network phone and Bluetooth, surely this is not a common portable music player. It’s attractive enough combination.

Motorola RAZR2 V9 Review: HSDPA in Clamshel

Motorola RAZR² V9
Another V3 follower presence and offers the thing that can’t be said new anymore. V9 which is the second edition phone from RAZR2 family returns to offers slim design, HDSPA and better interface. Remind us to Motorola previous products.

V3 is really phenomenal. Slim design which that time has not been thought is applied so get the best phone award during its time. That thing always used till come out the V3xx which carrying HSDPA high-speed internet connection.

Then come up the innovator which called RAZR2 family. This group is famous with more flexible interface. It already planted K-Java OS and also same qualities two displays. V8 was the firstly product.

Then now the new edition in V9, all features which mentioned above tried to offer again. It’s come up without variation and just new product with complete feature.

RAZR2 V9 is supported by great designs. Form factor of RAZR series which usually applied, clamshell, remain to uses. Not only that, material chooses and glossy effect makes it seen more luxuriant.

Both of V9 screen is presented in equal quality. Its purpose is simple: to more facilitates user. Because if both screen made the same, hence you can access some menus without opens flip.

Same with RAZR² series when firstly come out, V9 applies unusual OS, K-Java. It’s a java-linux operating system which has not been supported widely.

Identical with V8, V9 still have the same secondary screen interface. It’s using touch sensitive button which placed in screen underside. If compared to similar button of Samsung or LG, its location in V9 is effective enough. Automatic lock will prevent this button activated accidentally.

HSDPA will enable you to access high-speed internet until 3,2 mbps. So long you residing in the location which covered with this network, you can easily do video streaming without get interfering.

Music player doesn’t forget to add to this beautiful phone. The feature which use is Motorola Digital Audio Player. Its performance doesn’t far different with digital music player applied at previous products.

Motorola RAZR2 V9 brings good enough camera. But if seeing some HSDPA products from other vendor which has accommodated 3.2 megapixel cameras, V9 2 megapixel camera is felt a few left behind.

Not so fresh concept is considered to be the only insufficiency at V9. But as tradition continuous phone, V9 effort is effective enough. What else if not in it design side which is still looks luxuriant and the HSDPA feature addition which so promising.

The price can be said sensible if it is compared to the price of V3 when first time launched. But some problems must be fixed especially at it camera.

Samsung SGH-D880 Review: Samsung Dual on GSM-GSM

Samsung SGH-D880
After launching dual SIM GSM-CDMA dual on, now Samsung gives the alternative through its newest series: SGH-D880. Different from the same type phone which available in the market, this “Samsung Duos” comes up stronger.

Samsung SGH-D880 uses dual standby GSM technology. If compared to a kind phone, the price of D880 of course not cheap. But, feature presented noted far better.

Slider concept is selected as a basic form. Like unites two phone, Samsung D880 body dimension is not slim like Samsung D900. The thickness reaches 1,89 cm. Not so fatty.

Body shape, include D880 sliding construction can be said adopts it old brother form, SGH D900. Unhappily, its slide mechanism does not as good as D900. Moreover, touch area to access the slide-up and slide-down felt few slippery, bothering enough.

Its four direction navigation button (D-Pad) is comfort enough to accessing the menu. “Yes” button placed in its middle side, which also able functioned as internet access shortcut. It’s functional enough.

D880 applies 2,3 inches screen with 240x320 pixels resolution ( QVGA) and 262.144 colors depth. Display power like this equal to D900 screen D900. Clear, sharp and soft impression can be seen clearly.

Interface side is one of the excellences from this phone. From the menu display aspect, icon along with its effect can be said as result of continuation development from Black GUI interface, where available also attractive theme facility. Not monotonous with black color domination.

Samsung SGH-D880 has dual slot SIM card, which able to be attached by two GSM operator numbers. That why this phone recognized also with the Samsung Duos title. Both cellular numbers can be active at the same (Dual On). But, one of number acts as primary number.

To set the second number to become main number, Samsung D880 place special switch button in phone left side. Above the volume button. This button also can be used to determine which SIM card will work in message delivery process.

Even one of number is receiving a call, the other one number still be able to contact. And both called are acceptable concurrently, with the support from automatic hold and switch button help.

Similar with Samsung D900, Samsung Duos CMOS camera has 3,15 megapixel resolution. Maximum dimension from this camera is 2048x1536 pixels. The camera feature is not far different with its senior autofocus, shooting mode, timer, effects, frames, white balance, ISO and viewfinder mode. There is also the photo quality setting, program scene and exposure metering. Unhappily, macro mode support is unavailable.

Samsung SGH-D880 music player is good enough to plays mp3, aac, m4a and wma. The player display is also cool enough, added by equalizer media and 3D sound effect support.

Music will be heard more perfectly when we apply the figured in stereo headset. Samsung SGH-D880 headset quality is great, equal with the quality of Samsung mp3 player headset, for example YP-U2.

For dual on GSM phone, facility owned by Samsung SGH-D880 of course far better compared to its competitors; for example it 3 megapixel phone, java technology and receives phone in concurrently ability.

Philips 9@9w xenium Review: Durable Battery at Multimedia Phone

Philips 9@9w xenium
Philips phone is identical with long duration battery. Because its xenium products, Philips can give extra power to a phone, so it can live longer than other phone in once charging. But, old xenium product always sacrifices some power inefficiency feature so that phone felt too ordinary.

That time, the requirement of long live battery phone is more take a part compared to the requirement of multi function and rich of feature phone and however according to the trend in market. Now, Philips tries releases the negative assumption to xenium. 9@9w is one of the answers. Carry xenium label, this phone still be come up beloved, elegant, and rich of feature.

This phone is come up in candybar form. But with wider and thinner dimension, its candybar appearance is seen more elegant. Differs from the old xenium which seen sturdy, Philips 9@9w is more accommodatingly the fashion side, but still in business phone corridor.

Nothing special in this phone material chooses. Mostly are dominated by ordinary texture plastic. Except in D-pad part and buttons around it which has given by metallic accent.

Take advantage of it wide dimension, the screen then no longer be positioned vertical like most of phone, but landscape. Smartphones which based on Windows Mobile Smartphone is the example of phone with this screen position.

Screen type applied is TFT 262.144 colors with old phone standard resolution (220 x 176 pixel) in 1.93 inches diagonal. If this phone comes up one year faster, this composition can be said “amazing”. But nowadays it’s impressed so ordinary, because a number of products has applies QVGA screen resolution standard for its phones.

Philips not yet does standardization to its phone interface. Thereby, every product yielded will bring you to different experience. Include in 9@9w.

In this xenium product, you will find interesting enough interface. All icons are covered up by illumination light, but without animation, what a pity.

Besides tough enough battery, 9@9w xenium is also equipped by complete facilities. One of them is sound player. A music player with attractive display and supports a number of audio formats (MP3, AAC, eAAC+) and graphic equalizer.

The sound quality can be put side by sided with other phone music player. Even without 3D (widening) feature, sound from player will be accommodated by internal speaker which placed in backover underside. The sound power is great enough. The sound quality of course not as maximum as listening via figured in stereo headset.

Philips 9@9w brings 2 megapixel cameras. Maximum resolution yielded is 1600 x 1200 pixels. Detail enough to be printed on postcard size photo paper.

Recently, double sim card technology started applied by Asia vendor. Mainly is China. And Xenium 9@9w tries to accommodate.

Than using different two GSM phone, you can apply only one 9@9w phone. But system applied is still swapping card. Both Sim Card cannot be active concurrently. To change active card, you are must do it via menu.

Theoretically, Lithium ion battery with power of 920 mAh at 9@9w doesn’t have any greatness. Especially if seen from its power uses which full of inefficiency feature. Happily, there is no 3G here. But, it still must be divided with TFT screen, Bluetooth, GSM network activity, GPRS, and music player.

Power management also has not helped enough. But, duration of 9@9w xenium battery of course better from other phone. In normal usage, this phone can hold out till 5 day after once charging.

Dual Sim GSM in a xenium phone is a something new. And so do the designs and multimedia feature inside. Without trying to cut its power inefficiency feature, 9@9w still run in its line, providing phone with durable battery.

LG VX8800 Venus Review: Cool Slider Is Capable, Too

LG VX8800 Venus
Here’s a head-turner of a handset for Verizon that offers some extra pizzazz thanks to its cool hybrid touch-screen/keypad interface. With its faux leather back and comfortable keypad, the Venus feels luxurious. Just below the 2-inch main screen is a 1.5-inch 176-by-240-pixel touch screen with virtual buttons that change with each menu. Force feedback on the buttons lets you know you’ve pressed them, though responses lag a bit. These virtual buttons add a lot of flexibility and usability to the mostly standard Verizon interface.

The Venus’s call quality is respectable, though reception in weak signal areas leaves something to be desired. The earpiece is loud, with some distortion at high volumes. Battery life, at nearly 5 hours of talk time, isn’t bad.

Phone aside, the Venus has a ton of other features. By navigating through various menus you’ll find a good e-mail client that supports MSN, Yahoo!, and POP3; instant-messaging apps for AIM, MSN, and Yahoo!; Verizon’s VZNavigator GPS-based driving directions service; and a bare-bones Web browser. The phone has an average-quality 2-megapixel camera, and it will work as a modem for your laptop, too.

The Venus practically oozes style. If you’re willing to pay the price, there’s no shame in choosing this capable phone primarily for its innovative design and good looks.

Nokia E90 Communicator Review: Do-It-All Device Doesn’t Come Cheap

Nokia E90 Communicator
Nokia’s newest unlocked smartphone comes with dual screens and keyboards, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, plus a suite of bundled apps that’s unmatched by any other smartphone out there. Brimming with features, this pricey beast of a device is strictly for those with extra large (and deep) pockets.

Inside are an 800-by-352 widescreen and a five-row QWERTY keyboard. A quad-band GSM phone, the E90 is a good choice for business travelers, although it supports only the 2,100-MHz band for 3G data speeds overseas. Here in the U.S., we’re stuck with EDGE, but over Wi-Fi, the E90 practically flies.

The E90 is one of the best-sounding cell phones I’ve ever reviewed. I could hear perfectly clearly, and folks on the other end thought I sounded great. You also get robust e-mail, messaging, and multimedia applications, and since the phone runs Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition it will work with thousands of third-party applications. In addition, Nokia bundles Quickoffice, which lets you create, edit, and save Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents— a boon given the E90’s incredibly comfortable input devices.

At an eye-popping $1,099, the E90 certainly isn’t for everyone. It’s larger and, at 7.4 ounces, heavier than just about any other smartphone on the market, but given the device’s extensive capabilities, I don’t mind a bit.

Samsung SGH-E950 Review: Troubled Touch Navigation

Samsung SGH-E950
Touch technology for softkey button is not a new thing; LG through Chocolate KG800 has applied this technology, including some Samsung Ultra Edition series. But, new improvement tried offered by Samsung SGH-E950 with presenting “full touch navigation key”.

In the multimedia phone line, SGH-E950 can be said as testing product of some new innovations. The display now is also sweeter; in designs, user interface, entertainment amusement and some other facilities differed from its senior, E900. E950 physical display is seen more luxuriant. The body is wrapped by plastic material with reflective metal nuance, with few rough surfaces. Do not monopolize again with dark color, which becoming Samsung phone typically.

But, E950 still have another interesting feature. Big revolution is offered by Samsung, through the navigation button of full touch sensitive technology alias touch sensor so-called “Dynamic Adaptive Control Pad”. Not only softkey which adopted this technology, like SGH-U600/U700 also LG Chocolate KG800. 1,14 inches area is inserted by unique shortcut and claimed to relies on 65 thousand colors OLED screen and 128 x 112 pixels resolution.

Unhappily, touch sensor planted felt over sensitive. It mean can cause you to execute unwanted command / menu, just because accidentally a few touching it. It’s similar with Samsung SGH-U600 / U700 softkey.

The unique, SGH-E950 is accompanied by screen setting for excessive light condition passed “Sunlight mode” modus. The result, this media interface display remain to be bright and clear even below direct sunlight. It’s s similar with the Samsung SGH-U600 ability. Whereas at the sector menu, Samsung SGH-E950 is adopts the new interface model, namely “Espresso UI”. Do not like some ultra editions, which dominant by black nuance.

The presents of uGo feature in SGH-E950 automatically can arrange “Home screen” background display according to town or domicile country. Plus its wallpaper ‘living’ feature, which dynamically changed according to daily clock calculation. Attractive enough!

Do not like its one class phone which mostly placing forward the 3G technology support, including high speed data transfer via HSDPA line, Samsung SGH-E950 still a step behind.

Can be understand, this phone only works in GSM triband frequency (900/1800/1900 MHZ) and EDGE/GPRS channel to process data transfer. It’s similar to the old series, SGH-E900. What a pity.

E950 has carried 3,2 megapixel camera. Even minus autofocus feature and macro modus, but some standard abilities remain to be figured in. There is a flash lamp, ISO choice and white balance setting. In default, the camera viewfinder is at landscape position. This thing is according to the placing of camera button shutter, which imitates digital pocket camera concept.

Even this camera is not a music phone, but SGH-E950 still equipped with good enough music players. Its ability to list the song is also not failed if compared to Sony Ericsson Walkman series. The playlist can be arranged based on artist, genre, album, most played and including equalizer choice. Playlist setting also can be performed so easy.

Like Symbian operating system phone which supporting multitasking function, SGH-E950 also figures in “Background playing” feature with same ability for its music player. So, you can explore the other menu while listens your favorite music.

Samsung E950 cooperates with Yahoo! in providing business facilities. Similar with Yahoo! service in PC, Yahoo! Ready feature in E950 also provides interactive messaging line via Yahoo! messenger.

Through TV out feature, you can display SGH-E950 interface directly to television screen. It’s including your photo result, documents and other. Setting provided is PAL-B and NTSC. Unfortunately, TV out connection cable does not figured in at sale package.

Samsung SGH-E950 can be said complete enough for middle-weight phone. Its can be look from the feature; 3,2 megapixel camera, good music player, Yahoo! search and Yahoo! Messenger feature till microSD card slot.

But, minus of third generation technology (3G) or 3,5G make it fails to compete with other phone in its class. Moreover, its touch sensor navigation button is also disturbing enough and can be a barrier to get successes in the market.

Nokia 7900 Prism Review: Luxurious Prism

Nokia 7900 Prism
Prism phone come out with two choices. Economical package without 3G represented by 7500 Prism and premium package with 3G is 7900 Prism. Even is considered to be older brother, this 3G Prism still have some weaknesses. Mainly lays in software support and usage of risky OLED display.

Designs concept is the heart of this phone. Still same as former product, light luminescence passing prism area become its main interest.

7900 prism made in a real simple candybar. In a flash it’s not different with 7500. But if we look closely, this prism product is far simpler.

Absence of buttons and addition portal is reason why 7900 called simpler. You will only find mini USB portal on top of phone. The rest, function is delivered to buttons at phone face. It’s including the camera access and volume.

Innovation likely becomes keyword at this fashion product. After diagonal lines access in its surface, 7900 its dare to take the risk applies OLED screen type with 16.7 million color depth (24 bits), QVGA resolution (240x320 pixel), and 2 inches diagonal.

From the specification, there are should be no problem with it screen display. But the problem is OLED type has some insufficiency which make it cannot go in front of TFT strength.

The next innovation is the presence of background lamp which able to personalized. You can combine a number of colors, can be adapted for mood, or applied theme. At least there are 49 colors which can be selected. Background lamp color will appear in keypad part and around the USB port.

Nokia likely is making new boundaries in classifying the products. New phone which is not including E and N series tends to not equipped with open operating system (symbian). Instead, they are equipped by newest java technology and go into S40 newest version category.

Besides design and 3G connection, 7900 still have good music player. The performance is satisfying. Its supports 3D sound output with its “widening” feature. Unhappily, its ability to widen the distance between low and high frequency is less maximally because the speaker ability limits. Best way to listen music is through its figured in headset, that also still relying on USB port. For you music lover and requires 3.5 mm stereo audio port likely must be disappointed with this condition. Nokia 7900 prism is an expensive phone. With its high price we only offered by its attractive designs and dynamic music player. The rest you must please with its average feature.
