For you who don’t need 3G technology at Walkman phone, Sony Ericsson has the answer, please welcome Sony Ericsson W830i.

W830i has the same form with W850i. Even if it is looks in a flash, you will be suppose these two products are identical. In designs side there is no difference in both phones. Same dimension, same form and also same button layout. But lets deeply looks for found the difference.

Main screen is located in the top side. Because have slider form hence its measure can remain to big. TFT display type with 262.144 colors depth applied as appearance support. Of course it’s less bright compared to other newest Nokia N series screen, but enough to be come up luxuriant.

As does in W850i, the only one problem is laying in the navigation button. Tip of button is made to be small and transparent, so the light released by LED lamp can be seen. But its hardly displease to use.

This phone supported by ARM 9 processor with clock speed 209 MHz. System didn’t lose the acceleration when applied for multitasking job.

For a W series phone from Sony Ericsson, W830i of course relies on its music element as main feature. Unhappily, external speaker which placed in backside of phone make output audio released by W830i are less maximum.

There is no stereo effect or other good things, except of course is heard enough boisterous. But to enjoy the truly quality from this music player you can apply figures in headset.

If less balmily with ‘earbud headset’ type, you can use your 3.5 mm headset because Sony Ericsson provides compatible connector.

2 megapixel digital camera is the only camera which you able to get in W830i. Its performance doesn’t fail with W850i camera. Equipped with camera flash, this camera also can make a picture in indoor even the result is less goodly if compared to xenon flash.

This phone has been equipped with java MIDP 2.0 technology. Thereby this phone is flexible enough to be added by other supporter features.

Include game and a number of applications which relating to entertainment. But actually the available application is already interesting enough.

Bluetooth A2DP connection and data cable port giving enough facilities in connecting this phone with other peripheral. Its performance is very good. There is no meaning resistance, including when applied to transfers data from PC to phone and on the contrary.

For you who not apply 3G technology, W830i is the correct music phone. Besides the price far cheaper compared to W850i, the features is not far different with its predecessor.
