Sony Ericsson W830i
For you who don’t need 3G technology at Walkman phone, Sony Ericsson has the answer, please welcome Sony Ericsson W830i.

Main screen is located in the top side. Because have slider form hence its measure can remain to big. TFT display type with 262.144 colors depth applied as appearance support. Of course it’s less bright compared to other newest Nokia N series screen, but enough to be come up luxuriant.

As does in W850i, the only one problem is laying in the navigation button. Tip of button is made to be small and transparent, so the light released by LED lamp can be seen. But its hardly displease to use.

This phone supported by ARM 9 processor with clock speed 209 MHz. System didn’t lose the acceleration when applied for multitasking job.

For a W series phone from Sony Ericsson, W830i of course relies on its music element as main feature. Unhappily, external speaker which placed in backside of phone make output audio released by W830i are less maximum.

Nokia N77 Review: Nokia DVB-H Mobile TV

Nokia N77
Nokia TV phone doesn’t have analogue TV Tuner like other TV phone. But with its wide service support, technology which has been planted in N77 can be better if compared to analogue TV which presented by TV tuner at other phone.

Compared to N92, this phone is more ‘down to earth’. Its unnecessary to turning around at the opposite direction.

Brief said, N77 seen more classically with minimalist candybar form. Not wrong if you apply it more as office phone than multimedia phone.

Nokia N77 runs in Symbian S60 v90 3rd edition OS. It means that newest software can be applied in this phone. Including some special displays of 3rd edition which will come out along you apply it.

N77 have been equipped by network technology which enabling various 3G services. Video call, video streaming and high-speed internet browsing can be enjoyed with this phone.

Mobile TV carried by Nokia N77 is the same technology with N92, namely DVB-H. This technology is digital video technology which made special for handheld peripheral.

Not differ from analogue TV which available in our home, DVB-B requires special transmitter and a number of extension technologies. Service also estimated would more interactive compared to analogue TV. For example; you can participate directly in polling.

Nokia N77 equipped with 2 megapixel digital camera. Maximum resolution produced can be reach 1600x1200 pixels. With lamp flash addition and camera setting, picture produced by camera is great enough. Alternatively, you can apply video feature. The resolution is not so high, but the quality is good enough to be presented in PC.

This phone returns to offers Nokia Music Player as music player. The performance is no doubt. N77 is also equipped with the presents of two speakers which placed in lower and upper ends of phone. This speaker gives stereo effect actually when music is played without headset.

Samsung SGH-J200 Review: Extra Feature in Cheap Price

Samsung SGH-J200
Market demand of 3G phones is increase nowadays. This triggered by consumer interest to enjoy the service bases on 3G network. One of it is videocall service.

Unhappily, price which offered by 3G phone majority is expensive in price. The presence of Samsung J200 which sold in $100 price range is might be the alternative solution for 3G phone limited budget consumer.

In a flash this phone is alike Samsung E590. Starts from its body dint to keypad composition are so identical. But, the J200 keypad display impressed simpler. Alphanumeric button compiled to be more flat, with bigger dimension. This numeral / letter button path is also made closer. A few disturbing when applied to type the message.

Through the length 10,3 cm, wide 4,45 cm and thickness 1, 55 cm, Samsung SGH-J200 can be said small. Can be described alike Nokia 3110 classic, but tinier. Its body side is also less of shape. Comfort enough to grab.

The J200 screen resolution is not big, limited to 176x220 pixels. Standard values for display of middle class phone. Of course the displays don’t have soft appearance like other high-end phone has. But at least it’s not disappointing. It’s because the existence of TFT 262.144 colors technology.

Similar to Z170 and other mid class newest phone of Samsung, SGH-J200 has interface with “black GUI” code, where the main menu background compiled over dominant black color. Menu icons presented simple, what accompanied by attractive color effect. J200 don’t have skin feature like Nokia/Motorola. So black GUI element applies patent, cannot be changed. Only wallpaper which able to be changed. While for ringtone, J200 can play mp3/aac/m4a as replacement of polyphonic 64 channels.

Its ability supports 3G network. UMTS is top feature of Samsung SGH-J200. There, third generation service for example video call can be accommodated. Data transfer access is reaching 385 Kbps.

Camera at J200 has 1,3 megapixel resolution. The maximum picture dimension which able to be taken is 1280 x 1024 pixels. When transferred to PC, the photo result of J200 camera can be said good for 1,3 megapixel camera class. Photo detail can be catch goodly. The contrast and its color gradation are pretty fair. Even if compared to the photo result of SGH-Z170 and LG KU250, photo result of J200 still better.

Music player feature become top facilities of Samsung J200. Unhappily, this phone doesn’t equip by alternative feature for example FM radio. Its musical ability is good, even without support from media equalizer.

Access line of Samsung J200 data / file transfer held by Bluetooth and data cable port. But, data cable not figured in sale package. SGH-J200 Bluetooth performance can be pledged. If compared to Bluetooth of Z170, J200 still better. The reason is J200 already applied version v2.0. Not v1.2. Samsung J200 Bluetooth has supported A2DP profile, so can be used to send music to compatible Bluetooth stereo headset.

Nokia 6500 Slide Review: Lack Office Feature

Nokia 6500 Slide
Designs part of course frequently thus main reference in taking choice. Even, some big vendor like Nokia is willing to cut the feature which ought to become main element in its phone. It’s clearly looks at Nokia 6500. The business phone which made in two versions, Classic and Slide, presents elegant nuance in the series which usually serious and rigid.

Do not like its twin: Nokia 6500 Classic, “Slide” name in this second version inducted at usage of shift mechanism, including its dimension which can be said thick. Its weight is also boost, 125 grams. Compares it to “Classic” series which it weight only has 94 grams.

Even huge, metal material wrapping which closing most of design surface plus hard plastic in some part, makes 6500 Slide looks elegant. Added again with the combination of silver and black color, which is compact enough. So, stylish effect also shined from this Nokia 6500 Slide.

For it screen, Nokia 6500 Slide uses TFT screen with 16,7 million colors. Similar to 6500 Classic and N82. Its resolution has been according to nowadays phone standard, 320x240 pixels (QVGA).

Nokia 6500 Slide is use series 40 5th edition platform software or can be called as version 6. Like the one is planted to Nokia 7500 and 6500 Classic. So, all display interfaces would equal to s40 phone newest generation.

Identical with its brother, this version can operate in WCDMA dualband (850/2100 MHz) line alias 3G, besides GSM line.

The presents of additional camera in it front side makes 6500 Slide is a good choice for you who wish to use video call service. Even only has QCIF resolution and 15 fps speed, but when tries to presents video call, its performance is not disappointing.

Camera is the main feature of 6500 Slide. Even not as good as N82, but it 3,2 megapixel plus the support from Carl Zeiss Optics: Tessa lens with F number/Aperture: F28 and focal of length: 45 mm, can make this phone just like a digital pocket camera. Moreover, it supported by the shutter button which it placing is supporting this concept, including its default viewfinder. To maximize it performance, it presents with autofocus and dual LED flash feature.

Even fails if compared to N82 camera sensor and Sony Ericsson K810, but it autofocus setting ability in catching object noted so responsive. You can use “soft stroke” modus or press a half to determine picture focus point. Furthermore, just press it deeper to capture the object. Unfortunately, the saves photo processes is spend longer time. Navigation button (D-pad) also can be use as shutter button.

Another Nokia 6500 Slide pride is it music player. The display is copying phone player of Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and 7500 Prism, which is the new standard of series 40 generations. Various music formats can be performed with ease.

Like some its seniors, movie clip can be displayed in fullscreen modus in landscape display. Not like its “Classic” version, Nokia 6500 Slide is equipped by TV-OUT CA92U cable in its purchasing box. So, video displays and also photo can be displayed in television.

The entry of 6500 Slide in the business phone line ought to be accompanied with great business ability. In the reality, it is an exception in this phone. The feature for office requirement it’s not available, even for the viewer. Meanwhile, Nokia instead makes the musical and camera is special. Happily, there is existing presenter feature and messaging ability which able to be pledged including high-speed data transfer ability in 3G network.

Samsung SGH-G600 Review: 5 Megapixel Camera with Slider Design

Samsung SGH-G600
While the other vendor compete to designs its camera phone so looks like a pocket camera, Samsung instead presents a camera phone with slider design. Don’t know what is the reason, this can become dangerous boomerang. Considers that slider designs are felt less supporting camera usage.

In 5 megapixel phone camera class, you will find a number of quality products from all vendors. For example are LG KG920, Nokia N95, Nokia N82 and Sony Ericsson K850i. Almost all of it has candybar form. Or even had slider model like the products of Nokia, camera can be use without opening slider.

Samsung SGH-G600 leaves from the habits. The camera is hidden in top slider part. So you must open the slider when taking a picture. Likely disturbs, related to phone stability when catch an object.

G600 wraped by solid material look like metal. Its external skin is felt smooth and classy. Everyone will admire G600 in this side.

Because made in slide form, hence the screen portion made to be bigger. Screen and a number of navigation buttons is places in top slider. The designs is so cool, nice to seen and remain to be balmy when applied. I’m only finds 5 button and one navigation buttons in circle form. But this entire buttons is functioning so important especially when slide is closed.

Smasung screen quality which known has great performance is presented in this product. With carrying screen technology of TFT 24 bits (16.7 million colours), resolution 320 x 240 pixel and 2.2- inch diagonal measure, all colours is come up so beautiful in G600 screen.

Camera location which hidden behind slider part make this phone camera not rapidly can be seen when phone in closed condition. This thing has two different effects.

Firstly is the positive effect. Camera lens would be safe even phone is plaved in a rugged surface. But in other side there is the negative effect. We must open the top slider to use the camera. Steady slider construction enables you to take picture with landscape screen position (widescreen). This thing is also ease by the presents of camera button in its right side of phone, precisely resided in slider bottom side, beside memory slot.

Generaly, the system at this 5 megapixel camera makes it reasonable to be called as camera phone. The presents of camera arrangement which looks like pocket camera and complete photograph modes is something that make it better.

Video records feature owned by G600 camera is not a joke. The ability to record MPEG4 video in VGA resolution (640 x 480 pixels) and 15 fps framerate makes it superior if compared to other Samsung phones.

Better interface is also presented by G600 at music player side. Here we will get some animation skin choice.

Its sound quality can be said great. With 3D sound output and support from graphic equalizer which can be selected, hence sound yielded can be fitting to our music taste. Unhappily, the support from speaker is not so good to present direct voice through phone. Even is made separately from earpiece (side by side), the volume level can’t be said special.

Slider designs for a camera phone are not main barrier. But more or less influence the comfortness in taking a picture. Happily the smart material choice can cover the insuffiency in design side.

Nokia 5610 XpressMusic
XpressMusic may have two different meanings. Enjoys music with fast access, or express yourself through music which suitable with personality. And Nokia 5610 is perfect enough to use this name.

This phone is a product which launch almost separately with Nokia 5310. In a flash, both products look so similar. But besides the color factor, both are different product.

If Nokia 5310 launched without 3G features and has tiny designs, hence Nokia 5610 made bigger with WCDMA (3G) network support. It shows that the target market is also different. Nokia 5610 is targeted to middle-aged market with higher budget.

Slider style selected for Nokia 5610. This form can create compact and simple impression at a phone. Not aside from in this music phone.

But what so interesting is the present of some new mechanisms which becoming 5610 “key feature”. One of it can be seen precisely under the screen (top slider). There is a two direction switch. With shifting the switch to left or right, we may directly go to 5610 music player and radio feature without entering main menu and folder. This is the first Xpress factor.

Phone is made by plastic material with anti- scratch feature. Not seen glossy likes Samsung music phone. It is a positive progress, considering that expressive and active music lover no need be afraid to scratch the phone when keep the phone in pants pocket. And this is the second Xpress factor. Smart enough.

Nokia Mid-End phones trend always equipped by 24 bits (16.7 million colors). So do with Nokia 5610. Its resolution is also has reached QVGA 240 x 320 pixel. But, because the screen can be said big enough (2.2-inch), hence display impressed not too special.

This phone included into the newest Nokia S40 line. In consequence, 5610 display having “Today” style display. In which the shortcut of some menus is presented in standby screen. Even still simple, this thing is helping enough for user.

Nokia 5610 equipped with made in Nokia music player. File search system is done to all storage medium in the phone. This assisting enough in looking for music file quickly, adds it to library and makes the playlist which matching with your mood.

Even doesn’t have open OS, 5610 still be equipped by other appealing feature, that is 3.2 Megapixel camera. It’s not a something new, but interesting enough as an addition feature to express your self.

Maximum resolution yielded by this camera phone is 2048 x 1536 pixel. It’s big enough to produce picture with good quality.

5610 XpressMusic successfully announces the meaning of a music phone for Nokia. Expressive designs and musical support which can access expressly is a positive thing which you can get.

Samsung SGH-U700
Image that good looking phone is not equipped with sophisticated feature still exist up till now. But, if you give more attention, slow but sure phone producer seen starts to undermine the image. Nokia has offered 7390 and N76 which supporting 3G service. Sony Ericsson is not left behind by launching beautiful 3G phone, Z610i.

Two companies from South Korean, Samsung and LG, of course don’t want to be defeated. Samsung presents SGH-U700. In the meantime LG launch Shine KU970. Both products are support 3,5G (HSDPA).

SGH-U700 is one of four phones which included in Ultra Edition II series. The shift phone thickness is only 12,1 mm. SGH-U700 uses TFT LCD 262.144 colours and have 2,2 inchs screen size. The letter and picture display is very sharp and smooth.

When slider is shifted, the phone screens automatically on and come into views four addition buttons. Buttons in U700 face side will react if getting touch. Because most phones requests the user to press the button, not only touchs it, SGH-U700 new user need to adapt. The same with formerly experienced by user of LG Chocolate phone, user usually get adapt after using it in 2-3 days.

Main camera of U700 which has 3,2 megapixel resolution only seen when slider is opened. The camera performance which equipped by autofocus and the flash lamp function can be said great. Small letters printed in my book, the example, able to be catchs fine. But, at low ligh condition, the several setting of white balance automatically works not optimal. As a result, photo yielded turns yellow.

When does video conversation through the 3G network or HSDPA, U700 user can use VGA camera which locate in screen upper right. Phone user can record the video conversation. Other alternative, capture the picture which existing at the screen and saves it as photo file.

With certain settin, U700 can be automatically sends SMS to rejected call. This phone wallpaper can be arranged like a slides show which shows user choice photo. Using of MP3 file is limited, only can be played and made as phone ringtone. User cannot use it as SMS alert.

Thousand multiple entry name phonebook and music player which use IcePower technology, creation of Bang & Olufsen is some of other U700 feature. There is also a bluetooth, voice recorder, auto reject, and microSD slot. In specs sheet mentioned that the phone internal memory having 20 MB capacities. In fact, internal memory of U700 which tested reaches around 41 MB.

Sony Ericsson W960i Review: Music Phone with Office Feature

Sony Ericsson W960i
Even is noted non the first phone which combine the feature of music and business, but W960i or W960 can present the new nuance passed ‘Walkman’ brand plus the support of 8 GB internal memory.

This innovation is the correct direction. We are not only gets compete multimedia feature, but also the office ability plus superior data storage.

Sony Ericsson makes W960i with candybar model, typical of office phone. Quite big, with larger screen portion compared to keypad area. W960i physical can be said is alike with W950i and P1. It’s because W960i is the transformation of both phone. But, its screen surface now is covered with flat glass which flat also with the keypad; do not like W950i which is rather embedded.

‘Walkman’ shortcut button placing it’s also in one package with alphanumeric button formation. This position is facilitate enough the access to music player, compares to with W910i which misplaced in upper side of body. Very disturbs. Still in the line of keypad, W960i returns to presents 'back' button as original identity of Sony Ericsson phone, which disappeared in W910i and W950i.

To add enjoyment when listens the music, W960i planted music player button with touch sensor. Similar with 'touch sensitive key' technology, belongings of LG phone music and Samsung. Color and designs of its button is more conservatively compared to mostly Walkman series. Even when Walkman feature is activated and applied to play music, the sensor is responsive enough and its color brightness is also brilliance.

As High-End phone, it’s appropriate if Sony Ericsson W960i offers third generation network (3G/HSDPA) with fluent besides triband GSM standard line. The result, its data download ability can be reach speed of 3,6 Mbps.

To implement all applications on it, Sony Ericsson W960i entrusts Symbian v91, UIQ 3.0 operation system, similar with W950i. With this OS, you can input various third party applications to maximize the performance. Unhappily, the availability of UIQ 3.0 application is still a few.

Another weakness of W960i is the processor which still adopting W950i technology, namely ARM9 with speed 208 MHz. The result, the response when opening menu is counted lag. Especially is when the multitasking activity activated. Left behind if compared to Nokia N95 which the speed is 330MHz.

Sony Ericsson has 2,6 inch screen size. It’s equivalent with M600 and P1. Color durability and layer type which applied is also one level. That is TFT Touch screen 262.000 colors, at 240x320 pixels resolution (QVGA). But, still failing compared to Nokia N81 screen which is have 16 million colors,

Presents of e-mail as one of business complement, I think is representing enough besides SMS and MMS for sends message. Its protocol can pass POP3 or IMAP. While for Instant Messaging (IM), it’s not default provided. Not like other Sony Ericsson phones, there is ‘Friend’ as standard IM feature. But, with UIQ operating system inside, this chat application can be added.

W960i has 3,2 megapixel camera. Complete with autofocus feature, two flash lamps and video record ability with speed of 15 fps. Secondary camera at front side is also presented, to accommodate video call service in 3G/HSDPA line.

Autofocus feature and macro mode at W960i camera is still less responsive. The photo result will not focus or shaky if shoot position unstable. Even has same 3,2 megapixel camera, but the W960i outdoor and indoor photo still failing compared to K800i and also K810i.

While to record video, its only provide 3gp format. Its maximum resolution is 320x240 pixels (QVGA), with other economical resolution choice. Because its standard speed, hence the quality is also patch up.

For office activity, W960i is better compared to W950i. It’s because this phone in advance is planted with office file viewer application (QuickOffice), whereas at W950i I must install it first from the available software CD. Besides its ability to view file, ‘QuickOffice’ application at W960i also can be applied to edit file documents which saves in phone memory. This phone also has Pdf+ viewer, Business Card Scanner and Exchange ActiveSync which can be used to maximize work activity.

One plus points of W960i compared to several seniors, it’s the Wi-Fi 802.11b, besides Bluetooth v2.0 (A2DO) and port cable.

Because WAP 2.0 and Opera 8.65 browser and support of 3G/ HSDPA network, W960i can open wap/web sites with ease and perfect. Smart fit format and landscape mode it’s also can be used.

SGH i450, SGH F330, SGH F210 Review: Samsung Music Phone Series

SGH i450, SGH F330, SGH F210
Sony Ericsson seems not walks alone anymore in music celphone market with their Walkman phone series. Samsung, phone vendor from South Korea, enter the market with three music phone which launched firstly in Europe.

Samsung has launched music phone which bundle in Ultra series, namely SGH F300 ltra Music, some times ago. This time, Samsung is launch SGH i450, SGH F330, and SGH F210. All phones operate in tri-band network (900/1.800/1.900 megahertzs).

The most interesting variant among the three is SGH i450, which coming up with double sliding model and having platform Symbian S60 third generation software.

When phone body is sliding upward, it will acticated high tech smartphone features with 1,2 inchs LCD screen. Then, if sliding downwards, coming up is SGH i450 features as music phone with 2,4 inchs screen.

In underside there is metallic speaker with B&O ICEpower amplifier. Other entertainment at this gadget is FM Radio.

But, the phone minus point is at the internal memory which only offered 35MB. That small capacities only ready to keep seven to ten songs. Small memory not ought to exist at at music phone. Jusy compares it to W950i, one of Sony Ericsson Walkman phone, which sold with 4GB internal memory.

Storage capacities of SGH i450 of course can be improved with Micro-SD card exernal memory. This card capacity can be improved until 4GB.

Happily, this phone is works in Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) broadband network and supports high-speed data service of High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) to 3,6 Mbps.

The second series is SGH F330. This is the next generation of F300. This phone is having slimmer body compared to the other. Thickness only 13,5 inchs.

Even the bodi is thin; technology planted in the body is also sophisticated like i450. As continuation of F300 series, most all feature inside equal to the predecessor.

But, do not like F300, F330 has adopted HSDPA as i450, with capacities 3,6 Mbps. This phone is also equipped with 2 megapixel camera.

This phone music control is place at front and at the side of its body. Its internal memory is smaller than i450 (24MB). But remain provided Micro-SD card external memory which able to be upgraded until 2GB.

The last series is SGH F210, having swivel design (can be turned around by one axises). The up center of this phone is the axis, so that when turned around, you would see the keypad in phone underside.

Differs from two other serieses, F210 is equipped by 1GB internal memory and Micro-SD card for external memory. This phone body which not equipped with HSDPA features having 31 milimeters width and 21 milimeters thick dimension.

Besides as music player which controlled by navigation wheel, like iPod typical, below its screen, this phone is come with FM Radio feature supported by Radio Data System (RDS). SGH F210, which sold at the price of 280 euro, will be launched in Germany as F330.

Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-Shot Review: Camera with Phone

K850i Cyber-Shot
Sony Ericsson K850i with camera full supported feature, but minus Wi-Fi connection. Its presence making Nokia, with N95, N81, and N82, not walks alone anymore in 5 Megapixel phone market.

Besides Nokia, the step of Sony Ericsson also will be followed by other vendor, so that premium class cellphone market is becoming more crowded.

This candybar phone is has double face. One side shows its form as a phone. At the opposite, these phone faces just like compact digital camera.

The design is natty and simple, sweetened by stripe and D-pad button, which would having phosphorescent when press in darkness.

The modern design must be redeemed with user confusion when doing navigation. It’s not easy to familiarize when move from D-pad button to touch screen virtual button, then to D-pad again, and so.

It also happen when I typing the short message. Although the key pad buttons providing enough space so than wrong typing wouldn’t happen, its feels not comfort when writes text message with the key pad. Something else which must be paid attention, at this phone is very easy to found hand footstep, oil, or sweat stain.

But, as camera phone, K850i of course provides lot of feature to take a picture. In the side part, it provides shortcut button to activate the camera and shift button to change over from photo camera mode, video, or album viewer.

The phone also has lot of support feature, starts from ISO/ASA setting, resolution choice, various white balance mode, macro mode, panorama, flash light, timer, lens effect, red-eye effect remover, until BestPic feature for best picture choice from moving object. It also can do digital zooming until 16X and equipped by anti- shock.

BestPic feature produce great moving object quality, although there are some big enough interval. This mode differs from burst feature. Whereas burst takes all picture in continuant, best pic only choose one of 9 frame catch.

Anti-shock feature is very useful to stabilize the picture when user does digital zooming. But, the result is still not as good as normal photo result.

As a whole, this camera can present good picture quality with balance colour, soft, and natural. Moreover with available Xenon flash light.

Furthermore, K850i has other plus value, which is 3G HSDPA connection, Photo Fix software (photo editor), various music feature (MP3 player, PlayNow, and Track ID), motion sensor for auto rotation, 40 Mb internal memories, and M2/MicroSD external memory.

Unhappily, this phone not equipped with Wi-Fi connection, so that the Cyber name used by phone is felt less appropriate. This phone is available in the market with two colour choices: luminous green and velvet blue

Motorola MOTORIZR Z6tv Review: Talk or TV? You Decide

Motorola MOTORIZR Z6tv
Here’s a handset for Verizon that’s an excellent voice phone with a little something extra: eight channels of major network television. The TV service costs extra, but you don’t need a subscription to enjoy this slider-style phone’s good looks, long battery life, and pleasing voice quality.

The third phone to feature Verizon’s live TV service, the Z6tv is the first handset with an internal antenna. Telephone reception isn’t as good as on phones with pop-out antenna, but the phone is much less clunky.

Verizon’s $13- to $15-per-month TV service is the best of its kind. V Cast TV shows eight channels, at full frame rates, in full screen, playing audio through the phone’s speaker or a wired headset. The channels are mashups of CBS, FOX, NBC, Comedy Central, ESPN, MTV, and Nickelodeon programming- not live broadcasts but rather a “best-of” format that makes smart choice, like moving late-night talk shows into the prime morning commuting hours.

Phone performance is very good. Reception was excellent and volume acceptable on both the earpiece and the speakerphone. Besides that, the Z6tv offers plenty of other goodies, including Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camere, and a handy GPS receiver for use with Verizon’s $10-per-month VZ Navigator service. If want to take your TV with you and get a terrific phone in the bargain, the Z6tv is worth checking out.

SGH F500 Reviews: Samsung Two Faces

samsung SGH F500
The two faces merger at one black body. Its underside can be cut in half and twist. Its pack is also interesting, because also functioning as backup battery. So, Samsung SGH F500 present in cell phone market as the unique one.

SGH F500 present with two screens in its body. The first screen is have small size, 1,5 inchs, what is functioning as phonecall monitor and other menus, like short message, browsing Internet, photo data store, song, and video.

The second screen is has wider size, 2,4 inchs. In this screen can be seen video record, photo, and digital format songs, with good resolution. In this part also has camera menu and camcoder.

Both screen is related one another. When you wish to access photo file, song, and video, the phone will command screen switchover. And so do when you want to organize data and documents in big screen, phone will ask switchover to small screen.

This switchover controlled by a small shift knob in handset side. This mini knob is also functioning as key pad lock.

This two screen model is also adopted by SGH F300 which labeled Ultra Music. Both are the variant from Ultra series which had entered the market since past year-end.

Because called as Ultra Video, video is one of the special features in this handset. SGH F500 has adopted DivX file player, a kind of codec which able to compress long video duration to be small size, but its visual quality still great.

Other unique feature of this 10,7 milimeters width phone is its double battery. First battery is built-in in handset, while second battery is tidy in the skin case form which able to uses and released.

Keypad part to operate the small screen is having same colour with handset body and accompanied by navigation buttons, cancel button, caller ID, end call, and Internet shortcut button.

While for keypad to operate wider screen is uses the combination of touch technology and vertical and horizontal sweep for its navigation.

Both keypads are back each other at one form which able to be split and having axis at one point in corner (swivel design). Its purpose as a prop so the phone remains to standing when put down in flat place when looking on video.

In handset sides part equipped with volume buttons, battery charge and handsfree port, camera shutter, and camcoder, besides screen switchover knob.

But, even unique and attractive, this cellphone still have weak point. One of them is the first 1,5 inch screen. This LCD Screen is too small to accomodate various menus. Except photo access, song, and video, all SGH F500 function of course is focused in the mini screen.

When typing call number which presented in the form of writing pen animation in color screen may become plus point. But, if playing game feature, ouch, your eye can hurts, because its undersize display. Articles in this game feature also must be seen with magnifying glass. This mini screen also becomes separate spraging when accessing the Internet.

Verizon Wireless Coupe Review: Phone for Seniors Is Seriously Flawed

Verizon Wireless Coupe
An easy-to-use, streamlined phone designed to get senior citizens into the cell realm is a great idea, but this attempt from Verizon Wireless misses the mark. Inflicting this confusing handset on anyone, old or young, is a bad idea.

The most prominent feature of the Coupe, a basic but slender flip phone, are three programmable speed-dial keys mysteriously labeled “T”,“C”, and “E”, Together, they’re supposed to stand for “ in case of emergency,” but they’re just plain cryptic. Even the Coupe’s supposedly simplified menu system didn’t impress me: It was often slow and lagged behind my key presses. Frankly, Verizon’s default menu system is already simple enough. While both displays are readable, the phone doesn’t default to large fonts or high-contrast menus, which should be standard in a phone built for the bifocal crowd.

Voice performance was adequate, if unremarkable, with a fine earpiece but a too-quiet speakerphone. There’s no Bluetooth support, but there is a headset lack, and voice dialing lets you dial names rather than numbers. At least the keys are large, and there are dedicated 911 and speakerphone buttons. Still, in my view, older folks would be happier with a phone like Samsung’s simpler-to-use Jitterbug.

Helio Fin / Samsung SPH-M513 Review: Thin but Short-Lived

Helio Fin
Take a look at this sweet, svelte little cell. It happens to be the thinnest phone yet from Helio, the extremely Web-friendly cellular carrier, and the company’s best camera phone, too. But with its slim body also comes an annoyingly short battery life.

The Fin is a very good voice phone. Calls sound clear, with no hiss, though the speakerphone is somewhat quiet. For Helio users, however, voice is just where handhelds begin. This cell has the de rigueur MP3/AAC player supporting 4GB memory cards, though there’s no integration with Windows Media Player. (Better PC media software will come soon, Helio says.) With its big 2.3-inch, 320-by-240-pixel screen, you can navigate full Web pages, check multiple e-mail accounts including Yahoo! and Windows Live, or log on to MySpace. The ability to read Microsoft Office attachments in e-mails is a bonus. A 3-megapixel camera takes photos that but look a bit washed out in daylight and have a tendency to blur under low light.

But the Fin’s performance felt sluggish at times, the flat keypad was a bit difficult to use, and battery life was pathetic, providing less than 3 hours of talk time. This brief battery life hurts, especially because this is a phone you’d want to use for extensive gaming and Web browsing. Helio’s Ocean, while larger, is a much better platform for the cellular carrier’s rich set of Web and messaging services.
