Brother MFC-240C can be said as a most complete multifunction inkjet peripheral. Besides its function to print, scan, copy and fax, this peripheral also has two input methods there is sheet-fed and flatbed. Its mean we can duplicate any form documents, it’s in the thick form like book and also thin form like newspaper sheet. Moreover, all the abilities present in small dimension.
Its clearly control panel design with 1 line LCD screen seen great and beautiful. Fourth of function provided has separate button, facilitates us to move from one function to other. In panel underside there is available direct print feature, it’s in memory card slot (supports CF, SID, xD, and MS) and also USB port PictBridge. For paper input there is available small tray with total 100 sheets capacities. ADF (Auto of Document Feeder) also able to be applied for paper input, but only can accomodate 10 sheets only.
To facilitate its use, Brother figures in interesting feature in every function. At Copy feature for example, there is facility enlargement / minimizing in 25- 400% distances. There is also N-in-1 feature, so that we can duplicate 4 documents maximum in one paper sheet. Unhappily, this feature only for B/W documents only. While for fax function, its special feature is able to keep fax can in memory to 170 sheets and auto-dial to 40 numbers.
From its speed side, MFC-240C comes up good enough. To print 5 pages contains with monochrome text and colour, time required around 1 minute 48 seconds. Same approximately time also noted to duplicate 5 text pages. However to print the documents with picture element, time became expand until 3 minute. MFC-240C likely rather slow to prints picture, and this thing clearly seen when we to print the photo in postcard size (46 inchs) what requires time 3 minute 20 seconds.
Its print quality is good enough, though not special. Text is seen solid, though we expect more condensed color. The problem of un-condensed color clearly seen at Copy quality, so the result is seen rough and less comfort to read.
As a multifunction peripheral, Brother MFC-240C pertained very complete in its class. As for the bad side it’s in the copy quality, not so representatif for requirement of document duplication which the detail is importance.

What about duplexer? Does it support duplex printing?
This is the worst printer ever. If you are a home user and only needs it once a blue moon DO NOT BUY! I barely used mine printed about 5 sheets and had to buy cartridges twice already! it cleans itself every 2 days and if you don't have all the cartridges you won't be able to print. BAD PRODUCT
