Actually, in dimension and weight aspect, Sony TG3E still bigger if compared to Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD700 (volume: 171 cc, weight: 189 grams), but this Sanyo camcorder only produce HD 720p video.
TG3E applies Memory Stick Pro Duo storage media (4 GB) which able to keep HD video during one hours and 25 minutes. This peripheral relies on CMOS ClearVid sensor with 4 megapixel, Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar lens which having 10X optical zooming and 120X digital zooming, and BIONZ image processor. TG3E is also equipped with 2,7 inches touch screen LCD which able to be turned around for optimal view.
TG3E body is wrapped by titanium so that beside make it seen elegant, but also anti scratch. Titanium is 40% lighter than metal and twice stronger than aluminum. According to Sony, this product targeting to young people (less than 35 years) which liking to celebrate with friend and wish a classy camcorder.
The other unique feature on this gadget is its ability to detect and traces faces (to eight faces in one frame) from subject during filming. This feature is so common at digital camera, but new for camcorder.
Besides, built-in mike at this camera can trace voice from main subject. Noise sound in background is also automatically eliminated, including sound from lens when doing zoom.
This camera picture quality amazes when displayed in 50 inches plasma TV. Its D-Range Optimizer technology will adjust dynamic range to reproduce high contrast and backlit views which more natural.
