Selphy CP750: Printer with Red-Eye Removal

The colour is white and grey, with aluminum color cover. A 2,4 inch LCD seen in upper panel, surrounded by seven buttons at both sides, and a 4-direction button. In fromt panel there is three memory card slots, ready to receive almost all memory card types except SmartMedia which has seldom be used.

Hidden behind rubber seal of left side front panel is PictBridge cable which able to pulled in for connection to the camera carrying PictBridge. If having Bluetooth or infra red adapter, you may print directly with wireless feature from your cell phone or PDA. Of Course you can also connected Selphy CP750 to computer through USB port 2.0.

There are two new features in this CP730 series substitution dye-sub printer: Triming and Red-eye removal. Trimming - accessed through one special buttons in LCD side – its can crops part of picture that is is not you desires. So you don’t have to open application in computer. While Red-eye removal, like its name, functioning to correct red-eyed effect.

Besides it, there is My Color feature which have been available since CP730. But at CP750, there is addition of Positive Film effect. My Color enables you to choose black and white colour effect, sephia, positive, neutral color or vivid to change you photo colour. Unhappily the Red Eye Removal and My Color effect can’t be preview in printer LCD monitor.

Because its light and dinky physical (960gram), Selphy CP750 can be brought with easily. While there is available optional battery when there is not available electricity. The printer which packed with photo paper bonus presents 300 dpi resolutions with 256 color gradations at 4R maximum print size.

Besides CP750, at the same time Canon launches Selphy CP740. Its feature is similar, but CP740 LCD (2 inch) is smaller and it’s not equipped with battery (non portable). Selphy CP750 price is US$ 175, while CP740 is esteemed by US$ 135.
