The autofocus system is also is renewed with 19 cross-type sensor and exposure metering 63-zone. Additional of 26 AF assist points applied to assist accuration when AF tracking. There are two choices, main focus and continuous AF track, very useful for sport journalist. A special button of AF is provided in camera backside so user can direct activate / turn off the autofocus when peeping in viewfinder.

The camera which capable to record to CompactFlash, Secure Digital, or bases on USB media sold at US$ 4600. Whereas the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2A, a feature uses to control camera wirelessly is released at US$ 800. Other complement is EF lens 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM at US$ 1500, and Speedlite 580EX II at US$ 462.
